Facade design of new residential and retail building in Covent Garden; steel-framed windows and brick-faced precast cladding give a refined crisp appearance
Covent Garden, London
Capital & Counties
The Kings Court development will see 50 luxury residential apartments built around a new public courtyard between Floral and King Streets near Covent Garden. The facades are principally constructed of brick-faced precast concrete, while the glazed residential facades use slender steel profiles and the ground floor retail units feature bronze-framed glazing.
The prominent corner bay on Floral St appears as a set of offset stacked boxes; these are realised in a bespoke curtain wall system with cast aluminium panelling as feature screens in front of the glazing providing privacy.
