Part new-build, part recladding of a commercial office building with slender curtain wall system and perforated metal shading screens
Summit House, a new office development for Low Carbon Workplace, is a redevelopment of a 1980s office building in Hackney on the edge of the City of London. The project involves recladding the existing frame and adding two new floors, staggered and shifted to reduce the bulk of the new development.
EOC is working as facade consultant on the project, resolving the curtain wall system selection and detailing. The facade features bronze spandrel panels and perforated shading screens arranged across the elevations according to their solar exposure.
