Eloi Durand

Eloi joined Eckersley O'Callaghan in 2015 after working for two years as a structural engineer in New York. His move was driven by the ambition to further his passion for engineering through new challenging architecturally driven projects.

Within our structural engineering team, Eloi has played a key role in the successful delivery of several of our significant projects. In the South London Gallery he has project managed the refurbishment of the Stage II listed former fire station into an art gallery. At Mountview Academy he provided structural design of a the new 10,000m2 building comprising dance studios and a theatre. He oversaw the construction of Apple Regent Street, a challenging refurbishment project involving large steel transfer structures in a confined and sensitive space.

More recently, he led the design of Gainsborough’s House new museum in Sudbury and the Black and White building, a new office space comprising six storeys of timber structure over a single storey basement in Shoreditch.
