Planning win for Bridge Street, Leeds Project

We are delighted to win planning for a new regeneration project in Leeds alongside architects SimpsonHaugh and Partners.

As part of Phase one, the 1960s 12 storey office tower will be converted into a 182 bedroom hotel in the first stage of the proposed mixed-use development one-hectre site. The new hotel will feature a double-height foyer, bar and restaurant, as well as terracotta and aluminium cladding.

The regeneration is backed by a consortium of Singapore-listed companies led by Heeton Holdings, and will create 780 apartments as well as cafés, workspaces, and a number of green spaces. Five new buildings, ranging from 11 to 41 storeys, will also be built.

Edwin Liu, UK and Europe head at Heeton Holdings, said Leeds was chosen as the place for its latest development because it sits at ‘the heart of the Northern Powerhouse economy’.

Construction is due to start 2017.
