Steel framing for demountable cast aluminium ‘sheds’ stacked 8m high.
Another of Richard Wilson’s witty pieces related to the world of construction, Wilson sees it as an abstraction based on the improvised architecture of allotment sheds
Three cast aluminium sheds are stacked on top of each other to a height of 8 metres. These are supported by a concealed internal steel framework.
The entire piece is designed to be removable as one element, or broken down into smaller pieces, in order to allow maintenance access to a Thames Water valve adjacent to the work.
