{"id":17696,"date":"2022-01-26T14:14:43","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T14:14:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10020\/building-magazine-the-new-black-white-building-a-clear-case-for-timber\/"},"modified":"2023-04-17T09:10:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T09:10:29","slug":"building-magazine-the-new-black-white-building-a-clear-case-for-timber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/fr\/building-magazine-the-new-black-white-building-a-clear-case-for-timber\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Magazine: The new Black &#038; White Building: a clear case for timber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/wo_files\/Rivington_Large_4.jpg\" alt=\"Rivington_Large_4\" width=\"1234\" height=\"870\"><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Black and White&#8221; Building with Waugh Thistleton Architects and The Office Group has been featured in Building Magazine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text16px\">Set to be London\u2019s tallest Timber office this new low carbon office comprises two adjacent blocks which are five and six storeys tall, featuring a timber superstructure and a concrete substructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text16px\">By using engineered timber for the building\u2019s entire superstructure \u2013 including core and staircases \u2013 we have limited the Embodied Carbon for the building to sit below the 2030 LETI target for office buildings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text16px\">Our structures team was tasked with achieving long spans of up to 10 metres between internal columns within a restricted floor-to-ceiling height.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text16px\">Our facades team has been responsible for developing facade options and types, designing the curtain walling and creating solar shading, which uses a timber fin design.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text16px\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.building.co.uk\/buildings\/the-new-black-and-white-building-a-clear-case-for-timber\/5115027.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Building Magazine: The new Black &amp; White Building: a clear case for timber<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;Black and White&#8221; Building with Waugh Thistleton Architects and The Office Group has been featured in Building Magazine.
