Twenty years of commitment to thoughtful design, deep technical insight and a shared belief in the power of great engineering to shape a better, more resilient world. With many projects around the globe reaching significant milestones, we look back at 2025 and the achievements of our 11 global offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Project Milestones<\/strong><br><br>With the long-awaited addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/projects\/sydney-harbour-bridge-cycleway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway<\/strong><\/a> officially open, the new ramp creates a continuous north-south route across one of the world\u2019s most recognisable bridges, and means cyclists no longer have to carry their bikes up 250 steps. As part of delivering the project\u2019s engineering and industrial design, we worked in close collaboration with architecture, landscape and heritage, to create the innovative asymmetrical design that gives the freedom to conform to the competing constraints while creating the unique soffit geometry of the steel deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"722\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SHBC-EOC-TD1_Edited_8-Tile-1024x722.jpg\" alt=\"2025 Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway\" class=\"wp-image-29095\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SHBC-EOC-TD1_Edited_8-Tile-1024x722.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SHBC-EOC-TD1_Edited_8-Tile-300x212.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SHBC-EOC-TD1_Edited_8-Tile-768x541.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SHBC-EOC-TD1_Edited_8-Tile.jpg 1234w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><br>Over in Paris, following three years of renovation work, Renault opened its new flagship store on the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es. Dedicated to automotive pop-culture,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/the-loop-renault\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong> le d\u00e9fil\u00e9 renault \u00ae the carwalk<\/strong><\/a> is a cultural hub with a showroom, boutique, and restaurant. As the project\u2019s structural engineers, we completely emptied the existing building to create space for a 180m long internal car circuit, known as the LOOP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"728\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_6099_8-Tile-1024x728.jpg\" alt=\"2025 The Loop\" class=\"wp-image-28771\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_6099_8-Tile-1024x728.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_6099_8-Tile-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_6099_8-Tile-768x546.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_6099_8-Tile-1536x1092.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_6099_8-Tile-2048x1456.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><br>Our work with the French automotive industry continues with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/projects\/32-rue-marbeuf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>32\u201334 Rue Marbeuf<\/strong><\/a> which sits at the heart of the Champs \u00c9lys\u00e9es district. Designed for Citro\u00ebn\u2019s showcase, the 1920s building was carefully refurbished with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pca-stream.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>PCA Stream Architects<\/strong><\/a>. Located close to the SNCF station, the arena will host a 5,500-seat capacity in a sports configuration with a translucent and changing texture, evoking a light, aquatic atmosphere, sometimes revealing an aurora borealis. Our commitment to sustainability continued to guide our global work, challenging our clients and collaborators to make better decisions, achieving lower-carbon buildings while championing reuse and refurbishment. Leading the glass engineering, we are helping to develop the bridge, with a striking balustrade inspired by the late Queen\u2019s tiara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"722\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/P18849_FP961294-1-1024x722.jpg\" alt=\"2025 Queen's Memorial\" class=\"wp-image-29127\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/P18849_FP961294-1-1024x722.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/P18849_FP961294-1-300x212.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/P18849_FP961294-1-768x542.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/P18849_FP961294-1-1536x1083.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/P18849_FP961294-1-2048x1444.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><br><strong>Celebrating Industry Recognition<\/strong><br><br>The work we\u2019ve done in 2025 stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence, with an abundance of awards recognising our achievements. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/projects\/banquet-hall-the-henderson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Banquet Hall, The Henderson<\/strong><\/a> was named \u2018Project of the Year (International) \u2013 Innovation\u2019 at the Society of Facade Engineering (SFE) Awards, in addition to being awarded \u2018Best of the Best (Asia)\u2019 at the CTBUH Awards. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/projects\/norton-folgate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Norton Folgate<\/strong><\/a> continued to be recognised as a benchmark for regeneration in historic urban contexts by winning the \u2018Refurbished &amp; Recycled Workplace\u2019 category at the BCO Awards, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/one-station-hill-wins-bco-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>One Station Hill<\/strong><\/a> winning the \u2018Commercial Workplace\u2019 category. The Sch\u00fcco Excellence Awards brought success for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/projects\/76-southbank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>76 Southbank<\/strong><\/a> by being named \u2018Major Project Winner\u2019 and \u2018Overall Winner\u2019. Following this, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/james-oacallaghan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>James O\u2019Callaghan<\/strong><\/a> hosted a session titled \u2018Engineering Transparency in a Changing World\u2019 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/james-ocallaghan-at-zak-world-of-facades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Zak World of Fa\u00e7ades<\/strong><\/a> in Seoul, discussing the evolution of structural glass and the importance of doing more with less to support a sustainable future. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/performance-based-facade-design-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Performance-Based Fa\u00e7ade Design<\/strong><\/a> conference saw the international collaboration of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/damian-rogan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Damian Rogan<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/mitsu-edwards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Mitsu Edwards<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/lisa-rammig\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Lisa Rammig<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/alessandro-baldini\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Alessandro Baldini<\/strong><\/a> from our offices in the UK, France, USA, and Italy to host their panel session \u201cFacade Circularity in Practice: Strategies for Adaptive-Reuse Across Global Markets\u201d. Our Digital Design team co-hosted two presentations at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/grasshopper-uk-user-meeting-october-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Simply Rhino Limited Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting<\/strong><\/a> with Sybarite. More recently, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/brian-eckersley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Brian Eckersley<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/about-us\/our-team\/james-oacallaghan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>James O\u2019Callaghan<\/strong><\/a> attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/brian-james-at-world-architecture-festival-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>World Architecture Festival (WAF)<\/strong><\/a> in Miami. Forming part of 164 judges representing 37 countries, Brian chaired the judging panel for the \u2018Best Use of Timber\u2019, and James chaired the judging panels for the \u2018Future Projects \u2013 Infrastructure\u2019 and \u2018Future Projects \u2013 Sport\u2019 categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Designing Change<\/strong><br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/services\/digital-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Digital Design<\/strong><\/a> is a fundamental capability at EOC, helping us to streamline engineering and fuel creativity. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eocengineers.com\/?s=climate+friday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Climate Friday<\/strong><\/a> thought leadership series returned in 2025 with topics including facade design for component reuse, low-carbon designs and sustainable restoration.<br><br>As part of our successful bid to Innovate UK, in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.essex.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>University of Essex<\/strong><\/a>, for a 3-year research project exploring the use of AI in engineering, Saba Arshad recently joined our London office as an AI Research Associate. She will be working at the intersection between computer science and engineering collaborating directly with our digital design and engineering teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Life at EOC<br><\/strong><br>We also celebrated the people and places that make our practice unique. Taking in the scenery, the group enjoyed two days of architectural talks and tours, sandcastle building, skateboarding at the world\u2019s first multi-story skatepark, and a wonderful dinner at Rocksalt.
