Staff office trips return

We are delighted, after two years, to have been able to reinstate our annual office trips following the Covid lockdown and restrictions.

In June, over 70 staff from our London office travelled in convoy to Paris for a three-day trip which included visiting our Paris office for the first time and meeting the team. It was wonderful that the Paris team also joined a number of the activities conducted over the three days which included, a treasure hunt, a scenic boat trip down the Seine and enjoying a lot of local cuisine.

Our Paris office also had their own office trip in July which had a timber theme and the team travelled together to meet Julien Petit an asset management manager at Forêts & Bois de l’Est to understand how forests and resources are managed and replenished. This was followed by a visit to sawmill Schilliger Bois SAS and concluded with a tour at Mathis SAS who is a cross laminate timber fabricator. In between the tours the team also managed to fit in an enjoyable visit to a close by vineyard for a wine tasting.

For both offices it felt great to travel as a group again since we haven’t been able to over the past few years. It was an important and belated social induction to life at Eckersley O’Callaghan for a number of our team who have joined us during the pandemic.
