Yanchee Lau at Zak World of Facades 2025
5 August 2025
Yanchee Lau, Director of Eckersley O’Callaghan’s Hong Kong office, recently featured at Zak World of Façades, the leading global symposium dedicated to facade design and engineering, contributing to two high-profile sessions in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
On 17th July in Hong Kong, Yanchee served as moderator for the panel discussion titled ‘The Henderson: A breakthrough in fully-glazed façades with complex geometry’. Joined by Kaloyan Erevinov of Zaha Hadid Architects, Kevin Ng from Henderson Land, Nicholas Wachter of Seele, and Simon Chan from Far East Facades, the conversation offered deep insights into how an integrated design and execution workflow made The Henderson possible, managing and delivery innovation, as well as fully-glazed facades in the context of sustainability.

Just a week later, on 24th July in Shanghai, Yanchee took the stage as a featured speaker presenting on ’Engineering Clarity – Where Less is More’. The talk focused on delivering elegance and minimalism in facade systems, integrating engineering and structural engineering in building envelopes, as well as the latest innovations in structural glass projects.

These two engagements highlight Asia’s appetite for innovation, while often being deeply rooted in tradition. Progress unfolds incrementally, and sharing our collective achievements reinforces that journey.
