EOC at Retrofit 25

Eckersley O’Callaghan is proud to be part of Retrofit 25 at the Building Centre for the second year running.

Premma Makanji, Associate Structural Engineer at EOC, presented her talk ‘Retrofit Meets: Carbon and Materials’ sharing the latest trends from emerging dataset and digital design developments, as well as material choices and their carbon outcomes. Watch the full video below.


We also showcased our case study on the UNESCO building, a ‘large yet quiet’ retrofit of an in-use office that prioritises whole-life carbon, sustainability, and resilience. By carefully reusing materials and minimising emissions, the project shows how retrofit can be delivered at scale without disrupting daily operations. The exhibition runs in the Building Centre’s main gallery until 19th September 2025.
