Graduate Engineer
Joel joined Eckersley O’Callaghan as a Graduate Engineer in 2025, having previously completed a summer placement with the practice’s facades team in 2023. He holds a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering with Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. Since joining, he has supported with facade engineering and design across residential, commercial and refurbishment projects through numerous design stages.
His responsibilities include facade studies, thermal analyses, embodied carbon assessments and digital design using EOC’s in-house Grasshopper tools to inform early-stage design decisions. In his role, Joel also contributes to preliminary element sizing, technical drawing production and the preparation of reports and presentations to support project coordination and delivery.
