The LOOP, Renault
20 November 2025
After three years of renovation work, Renault has opened its new flagship store on the Champs-Élysées. Dedicated to automotive pop-culture, le défilé renault ® the carwalk is a cultural hub with a showroom, boutique, and restaurant.

Eckersley O’Callaghan provided structural engineering services on the project, with the previous site being emptied to accommodate a 180-meter-long car circuit known as the LOOP. Consisting of a ramp running across two levels, the LOOP winds its way around the interior, inviting visitors to wander between the cars displayed.

The installation of the LOOP in the existing reinforced concrete structure required additional reinforcement and the avoidance of the 21m span beams, which could not bear additional loads. To address this constraint, 21 steel trusses were concealed within the suspended ceiling, on each side of existing concrete beams.
To minimise added weight, the LOOP was built as a steel structure clad with staff, matching the quartz screed to give a solid appearance. The structural layout of the panels was studied and designed to follow the regularity of the steel rods in the ceiling.

We also provided facade engineering services on the custom metal sections and large three-side-supported glass panels that showcases the LOOP from the avenue des Champs-Élysées.
