Olympia’s New Rooftop Opens to the Public
19 June 2026
This week marked a key milestone in the transformation of Olympia London, as the new rooftop space officially opened to the public.

Spanning five steel arches and formed from a pleated surface of low iron glass, the centrepiece canopy creates an elevated public realm that echoes Olympia’s historic Victorian architecture. Our engineering approach focused on designing the structural components delicately to meet the desired architectural intent. This was achieved by separating the structural and glass layers, creating depth that allowed more light to pass though, whilst also allowing us to integrate the drainage systems.

The new rooftop space forms part of the masterplan developed by Heatherwick Studio, with our facade and glass engineering expertise helping to realise Olympia Central, West Concert Hall, the National Hotel, G Gate Theatre, Pillar Hall, Emberton House and the Energy Centre.
