UCL x Holcim Foundation Fellowship

14 August 2025

UCL recently hosted the third edition of the Holcim Foundation Fellowship, a program designed to empower students to connect academic learning with the real-world practice of sustainable construction.

The Fellowship offers participants the chance to collaborate closely with lecturers, tutors, and industry leaders. As part of the event, Eckersley O’Callaghan contributed by sharing first-hand insights into our projects and approach, helping to inspire the next generation of sustainable design professionals. In the first week, Hugh McGilveray and Duncan Walters welcomed Fellows for a talk and tour of two landmark projects, The Black & White Building and Norton Folgate, showcasing how structural and facade engineering can deliver both sustainability and design excellence.
