Our Sydney office was established in 2021 to provide structural, facade and glass engineering services.
We have committed to invest in the growth of our new office which will build on our success in the region and will expand to service ongoing opportunities in Sydney and across Australia.
The formation of our Australian office follows the practice’s involvement engineering the world’s tallest hybrid timber tower, Atlassian Central in Sydney, a project at the forefront of our sustainability endeavours. The project is targeting a 50% reduction in embodied carbon, 50% less energy consumption compared with a new conventionally operated building and will operate on 100% renewable energy from day one.
Our holistic approach combines structural and facade design to create technically resolved and cost-effective designs for projects. Engagement with architecture and industry underpins our pioneering use of materials, creating world firsts in buildings such as the huge splice-laminated glass facade panels of Apple George Street, Sydney, the world’s largest monolithic glass sheets at the time they were installed.
Leading our Sydney office is Tom Donald. As both a qualified architect and engineer, Tom brings an integrated design approach to engineering with the technical expertise required for the delivery of complex modern projects.
