We are committed to investing in the growth of our new office which has built on our success in the region to expand our services and ongoing opportunities beyond Sydney and across Australia.

The formation of our Australian office follows the practice’s involvement engineering the world’s tallest hybrid timber tower, Atlassian Central in Sydney, a project at the forefront of our sustainability endeavours. The project is targeting a 50% reduction in embodied carbon, 50% less energy consumption compared with a new conventionally operated building and will operate on 100% renewable energy from day one.

With Atlassian under construction just around the corner from our growing Sydney office in Surry Hills, we are excited to see this project become reality while developing a strong pipeline of diverse projects Australia wide. These include the new cycleway extension to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a university laboratory building, a new commercial tower for Brisbane CBD, multi-residential housing and single dwellings, public park sculptures, sports facilities and a pavilion.

Our holistic approach combines structural and facade design to create technically resolved and cost-effective designs for projects. Engagement with architecture and industry underpins our pioneering use of materials and design approach while our focus on efficient and sustainable solutions is central to how we deliver successful projects.

Leading our Sydney office is Tom Donald. As both a qualified architect and engineer, Tom brings an integrated design approach to engineering with the technical expertise required for the delivery of complex modern projects. Marley Meemeduma fronts our structural engineering discipline within the office and has experience working in concrete, steel, timber, CLT & mass timber and heritage design.
