Perforated aluminium screen wrapping the retained car park to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Won through competition in collaboration with YAYA-shortlisted architects Haptic, the scheme involves wrapping the multi-story car park in a perforated aluminium skin that hovers above the ground plane.

The facade is composed of repeating diamond-shaped units which open out at varying degrees. The cladding support structure is designed to be modular and accommodate the changing geometry through simple variation in the fixing detail.

The car park is intended to host pop-up events on the roof and will enhance the northern approach to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park along the Regent’s Canal.
