Our Asnières-sur-Seine project features on Angèle’s new album cover

12 October 2026

Situated in Asnières-sur-Seine, just outside of Paris, this two-storey home balances contemporary design with its suburban surroundings through its light-coloured brick, large skylights and tile roof.

Working alongside Heros Architecture, we carried out the structural engineering for the project from early design through to construction. Designed as a key architectural feature of the house, particular attention was given to the concrete poured reinforced concrete walls which run the full height of the house to ensure stability against wind. Left exposed, a clear protective sealant was applied to protect the walls and preserve their appearance. In addition, steel columns were used to keep the ground floor open, as well as skylights positioned to bring natural light into the main living space and stairwell.

Completed in 2024, the house was chosen by Belgian pop star Angèle as the cover setting for her new album, ‘INSTINCT’, out on 16th October. Created in collaboration with Thomas Grant James, Angèle’s album cover introduces a layer of reflection and self-observation by being photographed through a crystal ball. Using the main living space as the backdrop, Angèle has repurposed the open plan space by surrounding herself with objects connected to her personal life, including references to her previous albums, platinum records, books and pianos.
