Shortlists announced for NLA & AJ Architecture Awards 2026

The New London Architecture Awards and AJ Architecture Awards announcing their 2026 shortlists and it’s great to see eight of our London projects featured!

Situated by Paddington station, The Fleming Centre is a significant refurbishment, redevelopment and extension of an existing two-storey high warehouse building for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Shortlisted for the ‘Healthcare & Life Sciences (Unbuilt)’ category at the NLA Awards, EOC is providing facade engineering and facade access & maintenance expertise to help realise this mixed-use facility.

Reinventing a corner site in Islington, North London, Angel Square underwent a transformative six-storey refurbishment from a 1980s postmodern office building. Recognised in NLA’s ‘Workplace (Built)’ category shortlist, EOC revitalised the facade, engineered a terracotta rainscreen cladding as well as redesigning the floor layouts for better efficiency.

Providing facade design and access and maintenance services for a 42-storey, 32-storey and 17-storey tower within the Earls Court Development Masterplan in central London, the masterplan has been named in NLA’s ‘Neighbourhoods and Masterplans (Unbuilt)’ category shortlist.

Shortlisted for both NLA’s ‘Healthcare & Life Science’s (Built)’ category and AJ Architecture Award’s ‘Health and Wellbeing Project’ category, Harold Moody Health Centre forms part of the Aylesbury Estate regeneration. Delivering facade engineering for the project, the team provided pre-planning assistance for the precast facade.

Also recognised in both award bodies, Backstage at The Old Vic is shortlisted for NLA’s ‘Culture (Built)’ and AJ Architecture Awards’ ‘Cultural Project (up to £20m)’ . The new-build, six-storey extension to the Grade II* listed Old Vic Theatre is situated in London’s Waterloo and marks a bold new chapter in the theatre’s remarkable 200-year story.

Continuing our long-standing relationship working with the City of London Freeman’s School, we provided structural engineering to realise a new mezzanine level within the school’s dining hall. The project is in the running for AJ Architecture Award’s ‘School Project (up to £20m)’ category.

The 1980s Brutalist landmark building, now known as 76 Southbank, has been shortlisted for the ‘Refurb Project’ category in the AJ Architecture Awards. Sharing our facade expertise, the building underwent a quiet transformation and expansion whilst echoing the form and materiality of the existing structure.

Delivering a new mixed-use development in Wembley Park, North East Lands are residential blocks that provide over 800 new homes. Furthering our involvement with the wider Wembley Park masterplan, our facade team provided their services for plots NE02 and NE03, now known as Lunar and Solar.

The number, scale and breadth of these shortlisted projects are a testament to the work our global teams deliver day-to-day.
