North Acton Village

2 December 2025

Eckersley O’Callaghan provided structural engineering for the North Action Village project, a pro bono collaboration with Christian Senkpiel Architecture and Tomato Architecture.

Supporting The Republic of Park Royal, we helped in the delivery of seven community-led spaces outside North Acton tube station for the London Design Festival.

The spaces included five shipping containers, a prefabricated straw building and a shed with fencing for storage. Our role began with a workshop alongside the architect, where we explored structural options for the shed and fence to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient design. During construction, we visited the site to review the works with the architect.

The village is designed to be repurposed after five years and relocated around the Park Royal area.
