Toby Ronalds
MEng CEng MIStructE
Director

Toby joined Eckersley O’Callaghan as a Senior Engineer in 2010, after working in the London and New York offices of Buro Happold. Since then, Toby has contributed to an exceptional period of growth for the practice and he was made a Director in 2016 to lead the Structural Engineering group.

A keen interest in good buildings and good design has seen Toby leading award-winning projects in a variety of structural materials, including concrete, steel and engineered timber. He has also been instrumental in overseeing the integration of BIM into our work processes.

Toby has wide-ranging experience across multiple sectors. He currently leads teams on education projects, large-scale commercial and residential developments, high-end retail outlets, art galleries, museums, and sport & leisure facilities. On several occasions he has been involved in the successful transformation of historic or listed buildings, with his work restoring and refurbishing the V&A’s Europe Galleries shortlisted for an IStructE Award.

Toby maintains a commitment to the industry through his role as mentor for our junior engineers working towards their chartership examinations. He also supervises at University College London and as an interviewer for the IStructE.
