‘The Pavilion’ concept at Glasstec 2026
22 October 2026
From 20-23 October, James O’Callaghan and Alberto Casali, from our London office, will be on exhibition stand ‘Hall 11 / G61’ at glasstec – International Trade Fair 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Structural glass is one of the most durable materials in construction yet is almost always designed for a single use. At Glasstec we will present ‘the pavilion’ concept, which treats glass as a circular material that can be assembled, dismantled and rebuilt for reuse.
The concept is from Minke Venus’ MSc thesis at TU Delft in 2025, who was mentored by Prof. James O’Callaghan and Dr Gabriele Mirra. The pavilion is fully modular, consisting of 54 identical curved units that are interchangeable in any position and slot together by hand without a frame, bolts or secondary structure. The same unit can form walls, and the pavilion can be taken down and rebuilt in a new form.
If you’re attending the conference, be sure to visit our exhibition stand and see the pavilion!
